After graduating from Birmingham University with an MSc in Environmental Health, Angela worked at Perry Scott Nash Environmental Health Consultancy as a Health and Safety and Food Safety Consultant followed by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council as a Health and Safety Inspector and then Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as a Food Safety Inspector.
She went on to complete a 2 year diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
She left Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to undertake Health and Safety Consultancy work in a self –employed capacity which expanded into co-founding ‘Southalls’, a highly successful growing business with over 550 clients, from small family run to large PLC’s across the UK and internationally.
She is a Chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
She has worked as a NEBOSH health and safety diploma examiner and voluntarily as a School Governor at her local primary school advising on health and safety matters in addition to joining the fundraising team at her local pre-school. She currently sits on the fundraising team of the National Institute of Conductive Education (NICE) - a wonderful charity working to improve the lives of children and adults with neurological movement disorders.
A mother of 2 young girls (aspiring princesses) and a regular attendee at dance fitness classes, with interests ranging from interior design and property renovation, cake decorating, sewing and restaurant frequenting (any excuse to put on a dress and heels and take the safety boots off)!
